Orthodoxy Simplified Book

The Orthodox Christian faith carries a depth and richness that has been preserved for nearly two thousand years. It is the same faith lived by the apostles, guarded by the Church, and passed down through generations of believers. Yet for many people encountering Orthodoxy for the first time, the language, traditions, and practices of the Church can feel unfamiliar or difficult to approach.

Orthodoxy Simplified was created out of a simple desire. The goal was to help make the teachings of the Orthodox Church clearer and more accessible for those who are new to the faith or simply curious about it.

The book Orthodoxy Simplified: A Beginner’s Guide to the Ancient Faith serves as an approachable starting point. It walks through the foundational beliefs, practices, and spiritual life of the Orthodox Church using clear and simple language while remaining faithful to the tradition itself. Topics such as prayer, icons, the rhythm of the Church calendar, and the meaning behind Orthodox worship are introduced in a way that is meant to be understandable and practical for everyday life.

The purpose of this book is not to replace deeper study or the living experience of the Church. Instead, it is meant to help readers begin to understand the faith, ask meaningful questions, and start to see the beauty and coherence of the Orthodox tradition. As with any exploration of the spiritual life, these teachings are best understood within the life of the Church and under the guidance of a priest or spiritual father who can offer wisdom, discernment, and pastoral guidance along the way.

A second book is currently in development titled Orthodoxy Deepened: Growing into the Ancient Faith.

While the first book focuses on offering a clear introduction, this second work will guide readers further into the life and theology of the Church. It will explore the deeper meaning behind Orthodox teachings, the historical foundations of the faith, the spiritual wisdom of the Fathers, and the practical ways Orthodox Christians grow in their life with God. The goal is to move from simply understanding the faith to learning how to live it more fully.

Together, these works are intended to form a path. First to encounter the ancient faith clearly, and then to continue growing into its depth and beauty.
